Raw Material Traceability: Does the supplier have “Reach” o “RoHS” certifications for their plastics and glues? You must ensure the handles aren’t coated in lead-based paint and the bristles aren’t treated with harsh formaldehyde.
Tooling Ownership: Does the factory own their molds, or do they outsource? Factories with in-house CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machining can solve design defects in 48 horas, whereas “assembly-only” shops may take weeks.
El “Gold Sample” Lock: A professional supplier will sign and seal a “Gold Sample” (the approved version). During bulk production, QC inspectors should use this sample for side-by-side comparison on the line.
Social Compliance: In the modern market, brands are liable for their supply chain. Check for BSCI or Sedex audits to ensure the tools are produced ethically and without child labor.
